Your family and friends are right, you are an amazing young lady and this is quite a feat for someone your age. It makes my heart smile to know there are children in the world who are inspired to help others and motivated to pursue a challenge such as this. I say a challenge because it’s not an easy task but when your heart is truly inspired one can do great things. There is no doubt in my mind you are destined for great things in life. Never let anyone, or anything get in your way. Stay focused and stay strong and you WILL succeed! I don’t know how I missed this but this is the first I’ve heard of the walk and I’m sad that I can not be there today due to priviously scheduled plans. I don’t know you, nor do I know anyone in your family but I am a resident in Jackson Township whose life has been greatly affected by cancer who would like to support your cause and become a promoter for you. I’ve lost two wonderful friends to cancer. I lost one friend 3 years ago to breast cancer, she was only 50. I lost another last saturday to another form of cancer and she was just 48.Both were such beautiful women, the kind of women everyone wishes they knew and had in their lives. Colon cancer has also shown it’s ugly head in my life. My father is a colon cancer survivor and so is my brother in law. I am very fortunate to still have them in my life, as many affected by this horrible disease are not so lucky. I am truly sorry about the loss of your mother. May the memories of her always bring you great comfort. There is no doubt you’ve made her proud. I’m sure she is looking down from heaven smiling & saying “That’s my girl!”. I have friends with children so I will definitely recruit them for next year! And I too will be there to support you in this wonderful cause to help promote research and help save lives. What a wonderful way to honor your mother. I never knew her, but she must have been an amazing woman to have an amazing daughter like yourself. My thoughts and prayers are with you & your family in the loss of your mother. Sounds like you have a wonderful support system & network of family & friends.
